What gear is a single speed bike in?

I have always had mountain bikes but I am thinking about buying a rocky mountain flow2 but they are single speed...I am not sure If I want a single speed bike because I'm not sure approximately or exactly what gear a single speed bike is in. If anybody could tell me please do!
