Can you restore a regular cb750k into a cafe style cb750?

I was just given a 1973 Honda CB750 to restore and know nothing about restoring bikes. its a basketcase and will need a lot of work.i have always liked the look of the CB750 cafe but i'm not sure if the frame is even compatable to be made into a cafe... what can you tell me?
