I have dry coarse brittle hair.. What to do?

I have had dry brittle hair all my entire life but is more dry since I color it. I have been coloring it for years. What is the best shampoo and conditioner/moisturizer for my hair? I want shiny and soft hair. Please help!! thx. P.S. Everytime I wash my hair, I only towel dry it. I live in Fla. so I like to air dry it instead of using the hair dryer. Is that bad? Does it cause breakage if I dont blow dry? And whats the best setting to put the dryer on if I do blow dry it.?
